GILES COUNTY BOBCATS SCRIMMAGE & More

The 2023 Football Season is underway, and I have been a real busy bee. Monday's and Tuesday's I film the Bobcats Football practices, so the Coaches and players can review how they did during practice. Video is one of the greatest tools for Coaches and Players. It allows them to see what is working, and what they need to work on.
Then, on Friday Nights I film the games. This past Friday night we scrimmaged Creek Wood Red Hawks, at Creek Wood. We did not finish playing until 10:00 pm. Then, we arrived back at the school around midnight. The players unloaded and went Home, while myself and the Coaches stayed to watch Game Film. Which, my last Blog Post speaks about why the Coaches watch the Game Film.
On the weekends, during football season, I am busy creating highlights from the Bobcats Games. Yesterday, I did not get the game video until in the evening time. And then I started watching the video. Since then I have watched it 4 times, and still will watch it a few more times. I go through and try to find plays that stand-out.
This is the first video I posted yesterday. I called it Memories, because it was from my iPhone's Camera Roll. And from July 28, 2023. I had just woke up, after getting to bed around 6:00 am, and I thought it was a neat video, of the team, and last Fridays scrimmage. Plus, I was warming up for this weeks highlights. I was walking Puddin when I created the above video, and while I was walking her, I remembered that I had interviewed Kamauri Turner after the Game. So, I thought I would go ahead and post his interview. Later, I thought I should have waited, and used it with his 2 touchdown runs. He is the interview with KT, and my second video yesterday. It was not long after I posted the above video, when Coach OC shared the download link for the Game Film. You would think that I had the video, since I recorded it. That is not the case. After the Game, we load it to Hudl, so the Coaches and players can start watching it. Then, I have to request a download of the video, and that request goes thru Coach OC (my brother), and he sends it to me. This keeps other Coaches from obtaining out game film. Game Film is valuable to Coaches. To be able to get Game Tape, or video on a Team is huge. Especially, if you can get a hold of the most recent games, and practice video would be huge. That is why our practice and game video is secured, and carefully monitored. Why? Coaches prepare for teams differently. They may run certain formations against one team, and not run them against others. Coaches want to know what formation to practice for, so they can have their Team ready to play. The Team's have to swap game video the week they play, and the Coaches will be sneaky, and send game video of games where they run formations, which they do not plan to run that week.
There is so much more that goes into Coaching Football, then most people are aware of. This is one of the reason I started sharing video highlights. I know how hard the Bobcats practice. I know my Brother, Coach OC. His mentor was Coach John Meadows. If you are a Coach, you have heard his name, and he was the Best Coach I have ever met. My brothers, and I all 3 looked up to Coach Meadows. And he stressed that you must work harder then the team you are playing, in order to be better then them. Talent will only get you so far.
Look what the Bobcats do every year. It's not because they have 5 star athletes. It is because they work very hard. I am going to start filming videos for long form video, and I am excited about being able to share more about the Bobcats.
